According to the newspaper Gulf Daily News, Red Bull stated that Sébastien Buemi, current GP2 driver, was excited about his upcoming trip to Jerez.
« We believe he is ready to take on the challenge and he is eager to participate in the trials. »
In the same article, the Gulf Daily News stated that 31-year-old Japanese Takuma Sato was not the only former Super Aguri driver in contention for a seat at Toro Rosso in 2009.
The newspaper claims that Davidson, who is 29 years old, is a serious contender.
