Frank Williams received the Tom Wheatcroft Trophy, in recognition of his contribution to motorsport.
This trophy, presented to Williams during a ceremony at the team’s headquarters in Grove last Thursday, was created in 2002 to honor individuals who have significantly contributed to the automotive world and industry.
Previous winners were Murray Walker, Sid Watkins, and Bernie Ecclestone.
« When I learned that I was to receive the award, I was very honored. Joining the list of people who have received this wonderful Tom Wheatcroft trophy is a rare privilege, » said Williams.
« I have never forgotten the wet race at Donington in 1993 because it was financed by Tom’s private funds, driven by his love and enthusiasm for motorsport. »
