A 2006 Super Aguri was sold for over 85,000 pounds, equivalent to more than 105,000 euros, during an auction organized by the Japanese subsidiary after its collapse last May.
The SA06, which was driven by Takuma Sato, was acquired by a Japanese buyer on the Internet. This auction was organized by SHM Smith Hodgkinson on behalf of the liquidators of Super-Aguri.
Richard Mascall for SHM stated: « We are very pleased with the result. The car was sold for £85,600 (close to €106,000), which is a more than respectable figure given the situation. »
« It is a good thing that the buyer is Japanese because Super Aguri originated from that country, even though their base was in Great Britain in Oxfordshire. »
