Vettel has not yet changed his stance

Sebastian Vettel stated that he remains fully focused on delivering the best work for Scuderia Toro Rosso in the last races of the season. This reaction follows the announcement of his scheduled tests in Jerez with Red Bull Racing, his future team.

These will be the first tests on the RB4 since the confirmation of its transfer.

Even though he is pleased with the possibility of contacts with his new team, Vettel believes it is more important to finish the year with Toro Rosso with a flourish.

« I won’t be at 100% for Red Bull yet. I believe I will also have a test day with Toro Rosso before going to Singapore, » explained the German.

« This will be the first contact with Red Bull and its staff. The focus is on this year, which is why I wanted to have one last day of testing in Jerez with Toro Rosso before heading into the final races. »

« Everyone seems very motivated at Toro Rosso now, the atmosphere is fantastic, and this team is trying to achieve something, » he added.

Finally, Sebastian Vettel praised the role of Scuderia’s technical director, Giorgio Ascanelli, who is behind the team’s rise to performance.

« Giorgio is a key person for the entire structure, as well as Franz Tost and Gerhard Berger. He makes a lot of decisions despite having very little experience. He helps us both at the team level and with young drivers like me. »

« I have learned a lot of things and there is still much to learn from him. We can say, today, that we are able to solve problems much faster than in the past, » concluded Sébastien Bourdais’s current teammate.
