The former Formula 1 driver, Riccardo Patrese, makes his big return in a racing seat as he drives the Honda 2007 (the RA107) today in Jerez.
The Italian, who participated in 256 Grand Prix from 1977 to 1993, was invited after personally getting involved in the celebrations for Rubens Barrichello’s record when the Brazilian was celebrating his 257th Grand Prix at the beginning of the season.
Patrese, who secured six victories, 37 podiums, and achieved eight pole positions during his F1 career, is now a commentator for the Italian channel Sky Sports.
We have to go back to 2006 in the GP Masters series to see the 54-year-old man behind the wheel of a race car.
