Following a routine inspection before the Italian Grand Prix, the FIA confirmed that Felipe Massa’s Ferrari engine showed no anomalies.
Tests on the single-seater engines have begun to determine whether or not the units used comply with those approved by the governing body before the start of the season.
Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes-Benz engine was the first to be checked at Hockenheim. Massa’s Ferrari engine was the second after the Belgian Grand Prix.
A technical delegate of the FIA, Jo Bauer, confirmed before the weekend in Monza that the Ferrari engine complied with the technical regulations and that the various parts had no disparity with those already homologated.
