With only two Grand Prix remaining, there are few changes to report in this ranking that measures the consistency of the drivers. Hamilton remains the leader with 276 points, followed by Heidfeld with 265 points and Kubica with 261 points. The BMW-Sauber team still has both of its drivers on this virtual podium.

Massa becomes 4th to the benefit of Kovalainen who retired in Japan (242 against 239 points). Up to the 9th place, nothing changes except the drivers’ scores. Räikkönen is in 6th position ahead of Alonso, Trulli, and Webber.

Rosberg enters the top 10 thanks to Glock’s retirement at Fuji. They have 183 and 171 points, respectively. Vettel continues to impress and makes up for lost time at the start of the season. He is now 12th ahead of Nakajima (157 points against 156). Coulthard loses a spot with 141 points. The two Force India drivers remain at the bottom, behind Button, Bourdais, Barrichello, and Piquet.

Reminder of the importance of this ranking:

There is indeed an official ranking in Formula 1 that allocates points according to the significance of the positions obtained, that is, with a decreasing scale of two by two for the top three positions. 10 points for the winner, 8 for the second, and 6 for the third.

This scale only rewards drivers who finish in the top eight; drivers who regularly rank in the top 10 (9th and 10th, for example) are never acknowledged, even though these positions are almost as significant as an eighth position that usually awards a point.

To correct course, casinoenligne.uk.com invents the regularity ranking: Each driver receives a point according to their reverse order of arrival, provided they have crossed the checkered flag. In case of retirement, they receive no points. The first receives 22 points, the second 21, the third 20, etc… The 22nd, if there is one, will inherit only one point.

In the end, we obtain a ranking based on the finishing position in each race, showing each individual’s consistency and allowing the driver to be rewarded for the work they contribute to the team, not just their position.
