Kimi Räikkönen stated that he is not yet completely satisfied with his Ferrari even though the Finn had a good race in Japan.
At Fuji, he qualified on the front row of the grid for the first time since the French Grand Prix. He admitted that he could have won the race if it hadn’t been for the starting incident with Lewis Hamilton. In the end, he finished third.
The reigning world champion claims that his goal is to win the Chinese Grand Prix this weekend, but that there is still significant work to be done on his car.
« I hope to aim for a victory. The car is performing better, but it’s not quite there yet! » He declared.
« But the Chinese circuit is completely different from that of Fuji. Last year, we had a great time and I hope this year will be the same. »
Räikkönen was once again timid when asked to play a supporting role for his teammate Felipe Massa.
« I have always tried to win, but I hope that we will be in a good position this weekend. »
« I know what the team expects from me and I know what it wants: both championships. We will see how things evolve. There are different approaches we can take and that we will see in the race, » concluded the current No. 4 in the driver standings.
