**Friday:** Hamilton is first in Free Practice 1. He seems more motivated than ever to claim victory and take the lead in the championship after his disappointment at the Japanese Grand Prix. The Englishman also sets the best time in Free Practice 2; he is clearly dominating the other drivers on the grid today.

Saturday: Hamilton firmly believes in victory on Sunday. He is preparing as best as he can, achieving very good lap times during the Free Practice 3. However, it’s Heidfeld who takes the fastest time. The German is in good form and will prove it on Sunday. Ferrari, on the other hand, is far behind, too far to trouble Hamilton and McLaren-Mercedes.

Results: In qualifying, Hamilton is alone, but the Ferraris are keeping a close eye on him. Alonso once again delivers a strong performance with his 4th position: could he be aiming for a new podium?

Sunday: A classic start for the leaders. Hamilton is on pole and maintains the lead of the race until… nothing happens. The Englishman puts 10 seconds between himself and his pursuers, the Ferraris. Räikkönen is then “forced” to give up his second position to Massa to keep the championship chances alive.

Trulli has a scare, which he says is Mr. Bourdais’ fault. The Frenchman finishes 13th, visibly very (very) disappointed at the finish… he wanted points but will have to wait again.
