The FIA condemns the abuse directed at Hamilton

The site, called pinchalaruedadehamilton.com (literally meaning ‘burst Hamilton’s tires’), has gathered nearly 20,000 comments, many of which disparage the McLaren driver.

The board of directors condemned these comments on Thursday.

« The FIA has a very clear position. Discrimination and prejudice are not tolerated in sport or society. Everyone in F1 joins us in condemning this abuse and these comments, » said an FIA spokesperson.

A McLaren spokesperson added: « McLaren supports the statements of the FIA. We have seen the statement of an FIA spokesperson today, and we can only echo it. »

The website is related to a marketing company called Tequila Espagne.

A note states that the site is not responsible for the comments in question.
