Last 2008 Renault Roadshow in Sao Paulo

As part of its Roadshow program, Renault is preparing to offer the final demonstration of its 2008 campaign this Sunday in the streets of the Brazilian megacity.

After Johannesburg, Rotterdam, Kiev, Lisbon, and more recently New Delhi, the French team has been working for several weeks on the preparation of this ultimate demonstration; a highly anticipated event, especially since it will be a home Roadshow for Nelson Piquet, recently confirmed as a starter for the 2009 season.

The 1.1km long route was specially designed for the occasion in Ibirapuera Park in Sao Paulo. It will follow Pedro Alvares Cabral Avenue, bringing the R27 in front of the Das Bandeiras monument and should thus allow Renault to offer an extraordinary show in a particularly warm and friendly atmosphere, the key elements of this Roadshow program.

Nelson Piquet, who will be behind the wheel of the R27 on Sunday to offer a colorful demonstration, explained: « It’s a very strong feeling for me to take part in this demonstration, at home, in Brazil! Formula 1 is a very popular sport in Brazil, and my compatriots will have the opportunity to see and hear our car in very privileged conditions. I am sure the atmosphere will be extraordinary! I really can’t wait to be there! »
