Toyota confirmed today that its new car, the TF109, will be unveiled for the first time on January 15, 2009.
However, to underscore its overall commitment to cost reduction in Formula 1, the team will have a less busy pre-season than usual.
The Japanese team will start its 2009 tests with the TF109 on January 20, the opening day of testing at the new Algarve Motor Park circuit in Portugal.
This will be an opportunity for the media to discuss the new single-seater with the 2009 drivers, Timo Glock and Jarno Trulli, as well as with the team staff.
The team, still aiming to reduce costs, will therefore not hold an official presentation. Photos, videos, and press releases will be sent to the press on January 15. We will, of course, share them with you.
As for BMW-Sauber, they claim that their F1.09 will be launched on the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, Spain, on January 20th.
