Jarno Trulli anticipates a first race victory with Toyota next year. He is convinced of his team’s progress.
The Italian has finished on the podium four times for the Japanese manufacturer since joining them at the end of the 2004 season. However, no victories are to his credit.
However, with the encouraging development program in 2008, Trulli has raised his expectations of what he can achieve next season.
« I think that it is quite achievable. 2009 will be the year of my first victory with Toyota, » Trulli stated to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Trulli thinks that the new regulations for next year will increase the level of competition between the teams.
With the new regulations, the cars are not particularly ‘pretty’, but in theory, they should enhance racing battles with the ability to follow a competitor closely and undertake an overtaking maneuver, he added.
