After the debut of the new McLaren on Saturday, it was Toyota’s turn on Sunday, with its TF109 taking a few laps on the Portuguese Algarve circuit in Portimao.
Under the watchful eyes of the other teams present in large numbers for a week of testing, the Japanese team had reserved exclusive use of the track for the launch of its new single-seater.
The Japanese Kamui Kobayashi, a test driver, was at the wheel under an overcast sky.
The trial week is therefore underway in Portimao and will continue until Thursday, even though the weather conditions are not very favorable. These tests will be an opportunity for Renault and Williams to unveil their new single-seaters with the R29 and FW31.
