BMW-Sauber continued evaluating their new F1.09 this Thursday in Valencia, Spain. Their tests were disrupted by strong winds.
Although the team from Hinwil escaped the torrential rains that hit Italy and Portugal this week, they also had to brave the elements.
Robert Kubica succeeded in working on the car’s setup and a start simulation in the morning. With the wind strengthening in the afternoon, he then focused on reliability.
In the end, Kubica completed 116 laps. He will give up his place tomorrow to his teammate Nick Heidfeld.
Speaking of his performances, the Polish driver said: « The morning was good, unfortunately the wind made these tests very difficult in the afternoon. Nonetheless, we obtained interesting results that will help us better understand the BMW-Sauber F1.09. »
