As for the past three years, Renault will organize various trips around the world with a specially assembled team to represent the brand during a multi-day event: The Renault Roadshow.
The Roadshow team notably visited the Viry-Chatillon factory in France, as well as in Mexico and India last year. This year, half a dozen dates are expected to be scattered throughout the F1 season, with the presence of an important personality from the brand.
After Nelson Piquet and Lucas Di Grassi last year, this 2009 season, the young Briton Adam Khan has been chosen to represent the diamond at the Roadshow days. He will thus drive the R28 in front of thousands of fans at each event.
Adam Khan is of English nationality and of Pakistani origin. He was born in Bridlington and discovered a passion for motorsport at the age of 16. Since then, he has trained in various categories ranging from Formula 3 to the always highly competitive GP2 Asia Series championship, comments a Renault spokesperson.
From a Pakistani father, Adam Khan was able to participate in two A1GP championships with Pakistan. He also finished third last year in the F3 Euroseries championship.
