The organizers of the future Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which will take place in November 2009, have announced that the construction of the circuit is ahead of the scheduled plan, so the track should be inaugurated this summer.
This pharaonic project, not only financially but also architecturally, is once again proof of the mastery of the United Arab Emirates in constructing such infrastructures.
John Bullough, the director of Aldar Properties, the company working on the project, stated that the work had progressed well and that the track would be open well before the first GP.
It should be noted that everything has been organized around the track to make the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix a magnificent spectacle. Luxury hotels, a marina, a theme park, and shops will be there not only to satisfy the public but also Bernie Ecclestone, the financier.
An airplane was even decorated by the GP organizers in the colors of Formula One. It is an Airbus A360, a long-haul aircraft, which will stop over in London, Paris, New York, and many other cities to satisfy F1 fans traveling.
