Testing at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain was interrupted in the morning due to a sandstorm.
The red flag was raised shortly after 9:30 a.m. because the storm prevented the medical helicopter from taking off if needed. In any case, visibility on the track was zero, making it impossible to conduct tests.
Ferrari, Toyota, and BMW-Sauber stayed on the circuit waiting for an improvement in conditions in the afternoon that never came.
Yesterday, the first session started two hours late due to fog. It was Timo Glock who set the fastest lap.

Irony of fate, in Spain on the Jerez circuit, the weather conditions for the five teams were favorable with sunshine, relative mildness, and dry weather.
The trip to the Middle East cost 250,000 euros for the teams for eight days of testing spread over two weeks.
Felipe Massa was the fastest before the stop, but with Robert Kubica and Timo Glock, less than 60 laps were completed between the three of them.
