The ex-Honda team will be in Melbourne, but according to rumors, it has secured backing that guarantees its presence in Formula 1 for only four Grand Prix.
The Guardian wrote on Friday that the Brackley team has found an immediate solution to the withdrawal of the owner, promoter, and engine supplier Honda.
But, quoting sources close to the team, the British newspaper stated that the 30 million dollar guarantee funds, partly obtained thanks to the support of Bruno Senna’s sponsors, would only allow Honda to operate in Australia, Malaysia, China, and Bahrain.
Speculations also suggest that Senna would therefore be Jenson Button’s teammate. Their single-seater being powered by Mercedes-Benz V8 engines.
