A spokesperson for Williams confirmed that the team will not use its KERS at the season-opening Grand Prix in Australia on March 29.
Some rumors suggest a mid-season introduction, but the spokesperson insisted that no decision has been made at this time.
« We know very clearly that we will not use it in Australia, » the spokesperson said via Reuters.
He added that racing without the KERS was the most competitive option for the start of the season.
« The pursuit of performance first involves weight distribution, balance, and tire optimization, » he specified.
