First test of Adam Kahn on Renault’s R28

Adam Kahn, Renault Roadshow driver, completed his first run at the wheel of the R28 last Sunday during preliminary tests at the Paul Ricard circuit in the South of France.

This preparation day allowed the young driver to acclimate to the single-seater he will drive this year during the ING Renault F1 Team Roadshow campaigns.

« It was a truly superb experience, » Adam enthused as he exited the cockpit of the R28.

« The team did a great job helping me settle in comfortably and explaining the different systems of the car. The power of the V8 is very impressive, but these modern Formula 1 cars are relatively easy to drive. I felt at ease very quickly, what a wonderful experience! I am now looking forward to being in Dubai for the first Roadshow of the program next April. »

The objective on Sunday was to make Adam comfortable with the car and allow him to cover some good kilometers behind the wheel, explained Colin Hale, Coordinator of the Renault Roadshow program.

« He adapted very quickly to the single-seater and was able to work with the engineers as a team. Everything went well and the day was very positive, » he concluded.

Adam is therefore ready to take the wheel of the R28 from April 11, the date on which the 2009 Roadshow program will begin in the streets of Dubai.
