The FIA sets the date for the appeal to judge the legality of the diffusers

A date has been set for the FIA’s international court of appeal to take place, regarding the diffusers on the Brawn GP, Toyota, and Williams cars, which are at the center of the Australian controversy.

It will be in Paris on April 14, 2009, the week before the third Grand Prix of the season in China.

The cars of the three teams were approved as compliant on Thursday in Melbourne by the stewards, generating a wave of protests from the rivals. They believe that their diffusers do not comply with the FIA regulations.

Following the dismissed protests, Ferrari, Red Bull Racing, and Renault have decided to appeal.

This means that Brawn GP, Toyota, and Williams could theoretically be stripped of any points they might score in Australia and Malaysia if their cars were deemed illegal.
