Lance Stroll will not be participating in the Singapore Grand Prix

They will only be 19. Following his very violent off-track incident yesterday during the first phase of qualifications, Lance Stroll will not be present on the starting grid. The Aston Martin driver lost control of his car in the last two corners and crashed into the trackside wall.

The impact, of rare violence, reduced the car with number 18 to a wreck. But it also shook Lance Stroll, whose head collided heavily with the protective barriers in his car. For these reasons, Fernando Alonso’s teammate is throwing in the towel for the rest of the weekend.

A return to Japan

Following Lance’s accident in the qualifying session of the Singapore Grand Prix, Lance and Aston Martin F1 Team have mutually agreed that he will not participate in tonight’s race. The team has a massive job to repair the car today, and Lance is still sore from the impact. Lance is now focusing on his full recovery for the Japanese Grand Prix, explains the team in a brief statement.

Lance Stroll will therefore not be replaced for this Grand Prix. The regulations state that in order to replace a driver, it must be done before the qualifying session on Saturday afternoon.
