Sébastien Bourdais – 10th and 10th:
« Our weekend seems to have started off quite well. We have made progress in terms of understanding the car and harnessing its full potential. There is still work to be done, particularly in making better use of the Option tires (super softs). In fact, I was quite surprised to see that they held up well over the distance and had more than one fast lap in them. I’m not claiming we’ll use them for 30 laps, but it’s much better than expected. We can feel the slight improvements made to the car. »
Sébastien Buemi – 13th and 15th:
« This is my first time here, and I previously spent a lot of time on the team’s simulator to learn the track well and understand the trajectory. It will be a great help for the rest of the weekend. I think I should use it more often. »
« I had a technical problem this morning which cost me a bit of time, but everything was back to normal this afternoon and we were able to make progress. We will be better than in Malaysia even if for the moment I have not yet managed to have a very good lap… I think I will do better tomorrow. The circuit is very good, very large and very everything!
