Thursday: Williams has nothing to report in Monaco
Williams has gotten into the habit of achieving their best times during the second free practice session. Nico Rosberg in Monaco is no exception to the rule and sets the fastest time, a sign of hope and optimism within the blue and white camp.
No issues to report, except for the obvious lack of grip, just like all other teams. This problem should disappear by Saturday afternoon, once most of the F1 cars and other series have laid their rubber on Monte-Carlo.
Nico Rosberg – 7th and 1st:
« We had a difficult start where I was very uncomfortable with the car due to a lack of grip. We made quite a few changes and found a noticeable improvement. At the end of practice 2, I was quite satisfied, especially as I was often stuck in traffic, I think the car still has potential. Similarly, we didn’t suffer from any technical or reliability issues, which is encouraging, especially here in Monaco. I love this circuit. »
Kazuki Nakajima – 6th and 9th:
« The session this morning was good, but for reasons we still don’t know, the second session was more difficult. We will work this evening to find out the cause and thus have a profitable third practice session to properly prepare for the qualifications. »
