Sébastien Bourdais’ reaction to his eviction

After his cold dismissal conveyed through the team director of Toro Rosso, Franz Tost, the driver Sébastien Bourdais wanted to react and share his first impressions with his fans.

Here is an excerpt from the press release:

I am disappointed and shocked by the decision taken by Scuderia Toro Rosso to no longer allow me to drive for them until the end of the season.

I believe that by making this choice, the team did not respect its contractual obligations towards me. I also think that nothing in my behavior, on the track or off, could justify this decision. This is a clear violation of Scuderia Toro Rosso’s obligations under the current contract. Therefore, I have asked my lawyers to review the situation, including the possibility of taking legal action.

I would finally like to thank all my fans for their support and reassure them about my motivation, which remains intact. I remain deeply involved in my F1 project, the one for which I gave up my career in the United States.

The Frenchman will have participated in 27 Formula 1 Grand Prix and scored 6 points in the championship.
