Max Mosley has settled his dispute with the publisher of Germany’s largest newspaper, Bild.
Last July, the FIA president demanded $2.35 million in damages from the publisher Axel Springer AG, which, according to him, had paid News of the World for obtaining photos and videos, and for falsely claiming that he had participated in a sado-masochistic party with prostitutes on a Nazi theme.
According to a statement from the Associated Press, a spokesperson confirmed that Axel Springer has decided to donate 290,000 dollars to two charitable organizations as well as publish an interview with Mosley in the Bild.
Before suing Bild last year, Mosley had obtained more than $100,000 in damages from the UK’s News of the World, which had first revealed the sex scandal, as well as his legal fees of more than $760,000.
