Higher curbs in the chicanes of Monza

Measures have been taken at the Monza circuit to deter drivers from cutting the chicanes during the Italian Grand Prix weekend.

The FIA announced that “combination” curbs had been installed inside turns 1, 2, 4, and 5, which are the two first chicanes – Rettifilo and Roggia, respectively – that have been frequently cut by drivers in recent years.

Moreover, these new curbs should not attract any particular complaints from the drivers, as this new type has already been successfully used this season at the Nurburgring and Barcelona for the German and Spanish Grand Prix.
