There are only two races left before the end of the season, and only three contenders remain in the title race. Jenson Button, the current championship leader, his teammate Rubens Barrichello who is 14 points behind, and finally Sebastian Vettel in his Red Bull, trailing by 16 points.
The young German had stated that he would not ease up his efforts before the final checkered flag of the season, and Michael Schumacher approves of this attitude, expressing his preference for the one nicknamed “Baby Schumi”: “As long as the championship is not over, anything is still possible, and I remain hopeful,” declared the seven-time world champion.
For me, the two championships are not yet decided, I obviously hope that Ferrari maintains its third place in the championship, for all the work done this year. Vettel still has a chance to be crowned, and he must fight until the end, added the elder of the two Germans.
Furthermore, Michael Schumacher, who is very close to the Scuderia Ferrari, hopes that the team will retain its third place in the constructors’ championship against McLaren, but he has also given his support to Sebastian Vettel.
Ferrari has enjoyed much success since joining Formula 1, and this third place would confirm that the team is still in the game despite underperformances at the start of the season.
“I’m still fully behind this team,” continues Schumacher. “For Vettel, the fact that he is still in the running for the title with two races to go until the end of the season is already a big success, and he can be proud of it! I’m sure he’ll do great things during the last two races.”
