Barrichello at Williams according to Willi Webber

The information remains unofficial, but a key figure in Formula One, Willi Webber, a famous driver manager, confirmed this Sunday the composition of the Williams driver duo for 2010.

The British team will head next weekend to the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi with Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima at the wheel of their FW31 cars. However, it has become apparent over the past few weeks that the driver duo will be completely renewed for the next season.

Nico Rosberg is strongly tipped to join Brawn GP. He would swap his seat with Rubens Barrichello. As for Kazuki Nakajima, the Japanese driver has fallen out of favor with Williams for some time. This led the team to break its engine supply partnership with Toyota, as Nakajima was part of the deal.

Regarding the speculations about Rubens Barrichello’s arrival at Williams, who had visited the team’s facilities last month, the Brazilian driver recently stated: « I have the possibility to stay with Brawn GP but also to go elsewhere. »

However, Willi Webber, a famous figure in Formula One, stated in an interview with the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag about his protégé Nico Hülkenberg: “I think he will be on equal footing with Rubens Barrichello.” Nico Hülkenberg, a recent winner and dominator of the GP2 championship, is highly anticipated at Williams, which Willi Weber also confirms on this occasion.
