Valentino Rossi wants to do another test with Ferrari

The seven-time MotoGP world champion, Valentino Rossi, has asked the boss of the Scuderia Ferrari team, Stefano Domenicali, to let him have another test in a Formula 1 car. The Italian, who successfully defended his 7th MotoGP title last weekend, conducted a series of tests a few years ago with the Maranello team. The driver created significant media buzz by declaring his desire to switch to F1, before deciding to remain on two wheels.

Valentino Rossi explained that his request was to celebrate his title. I have already asked Mr. Domenicali if I can carry out another test. Ferrari could theoretically use the young driver’s criteria option before the end of the season.

Davide Brivio, the boss of Yamaha, believes that Valentino Rossi’s chances of moving to Formula 1 at nearly 31 years old are now very slim. The more years pass, the further he moves away from F1. In my opinion, the chances have diminished.

Valentino Rossi’s contract expires at the end of next year, and a look towards the WRC seems more than likely. He will drive a Ford Focus in the first round of the World Rally Championship in Mexico next March.

Whatever you do after MotoGP, Mr. Rossi, all the fans of Motors Inside congratulate you on your 9th world title across all categories.
