2-second stops, clocked?

Many people were surprised by Williams’ remarks, noting that a three-second pit stop would be standard with the ban on refueling. And with practice, it will be measured in hundredths of a second.

Christian Horner, current director of Red Bull Racing, advocates that the pit stops would actually be closer to 2 seconds, with an unofficial team record of just 1.8 seconds.

« We made 2 stops under 2 seconds, these are really lightning stops. » he said about the team of 18 men in charge of the changes.

One of the measures adopted by Red Bull was, in addition to addressing the scientific matter, to schedule an intensive training for the whole team. The guys all lost weight, trained in the gym several times a day since November.

Reminder: Cars will start with a full tank of gas from the beginning and will be forbidden from refueling during the Grand Prix.
