Free Practice 3 – Webber the fastest

Red Bull Racing driver, Mark Webber, set the fastest lap in the final free practice this Saturday. Webber completed this fastest lap in 1:33.542, finishing ahead of Hamilton, Vettel, and Alonso.

This Saturday’s free practice session started at 1:00 PM local time at the Sepang International Circuit. All eyes in the paddock were on the weather radar, as rain was expected to fall midway through the free practice session, which was not the case.

A number of teams, such as McLaren and Mercedes, opted for Bridgestone soft tires in case it rained, so they could complete laps with these tires before qualifying.

In the last ten minutes of free practice, the drivers returned to the track with soft tires, and it was Mark Webber who set the fastest lap in free practice today.

The qualifying session promises to be an interesting one once again, given that Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes are all capable of fighting for pole position, with a surprise factor, the rain, potentially interrupting and compromising the work of these teams.
