A starry Red Bull livery for the Grand Prix in Austin
At the dawn of the US GP, the Austrian team unveiled a special livery in the colors of the host country. For this 2nd meeting on American soil of the season, Red Bull, thanks to its operation "Make Your Mark", trusts the creativity of its fans to stand out.
As if fallen from the sky, the RB19 arrived by helicopter this Wednesday, flying over the city of Austin before landing at the event organized by Red Bull. The entire team was present to unveil their single-seater in the colors of Texas, the setting for the 18th F1 weekend this season.
Make Your Mark, a unique opportunity for talented fans
On the occasion of the 3 GPs in the USA (Miami, Austin, Las Vegas), a competition open to the general public is organized by the team to decide on the livery. After Martina Andriano in Miami in May, it was designed this time by a graphic designer, a fan of the team: Franco Cavallone: « This is like a dream come true for me, seeing my design on the car will be the best day of my life, I can’t wait to see it on the track. »
Christian Horner was enthusiastic during the unveiling of the single-seater:
« It’s not every day that we release a unique livery, so it’s even more special that it’s designed by our fans. Our thirst for victory continues for the rest of the season, so let’s hope this livery will be as victorious as Martina’s in Miami, where Max and Checo finished on the first two steps of the podium.»
Unlike the spring, the colors for Austin are faithful to those of Texas and the United States, taking up the red, blue and white. Inspired by the same colored curbs of the track, the graphic designer added stars to the livery, referring to the « Lone Star Flag », a nickname given to the Texan flag because of its 5-pointed star.
