The Luxembourgish group Genii Capital has officially announced the addition of a prestigious partner: triple F1 world champion Jackie Stewart.
The role of the former Matra and Tyrell driver (crowned in 1969, 1971, and 1973) will, according to him, be to contribute to the development of the group (Genii Capital, ed.) through Formula 1, which represents a valuable marketing and communication tool. Since his retirement from sports at the end of the 1973 season and his return to the discipline in 1997 as the owner of the Stewart Grand Prix team (47 points scored in the world championship), the Scottish champion has never truly left the Formula One circus, particularly benefiting from successful investments and a partnership with the RBS bank (among other sponsors of the Williams team until 2010).
The head of the Genii Capital group, for his part, stated that Jackie Stewart’s name enjoys international renown both in the world of motor racing and in the industry. The Luxembourger also welcomed this partnership, which is expected to develop the links between the group’s sporting and technological activities.
This partnership announced from this year onward and for the years to come heralds a medium-term strategy from Genii Capital. There is no doubt that with a partner of the stature of Jackie Stewart, the group based in Luxembourg and owner of the Lotus Renault GP team intends to reaffirm itself as a major player in the world of Formula 1.
