Button is confident about the future events

Even though it is still early to make predictions about the team that will win the world title in 2011, the Red Bull team, led by reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel, seems, after a flawless victory in Australia, already at the forefront.

However, the 2009 world champion Jenson Button does not seem completely impressed by the Austrian team’s domination in Melbourne and believes in his team’s chances: « Obviously, the Red Bulls are fast, but we are much more in the rhythm than last year ». Indeed, Button’s teammate, the 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton, finished in second place on the podium for the season’s opening race on Sunday, which still leaves great possibilities for improvement throughout the championship.

It is true that following the winter tests where the McLarens did not show their advantage in terms of speed and reliability, the result in Melbourne was one of the pleasant surprises of the weekend for observers.

Jenson Button also added: Sunday’s result was almost perfect for the team, in that we scored big points, and we feel like we will be even stronger in the upcoming races. The Englishman even stated: We’re on the hunt. The car has huge, untapped potential.

Finally, the Briton shared his feelings about Scuderia Ferrari: « I think Ferrari is going to be very strong as well. It will seem like a continuation of the battle we had last year ».

The battle between the top three teams promises to be intense again this season.
