Red Bull will have an upgrade for China
The 2010 World Champion brand of constructors intends to defend its title by taking the bull by the horns, offering a "significant improvement" right from the start of the season.
Despite Red Bull’s dominance in the first two Grand Prix, particularly that of Sebastian Vettel, the Austrian team reveals that it would have a new upgrade for the Chinese Grand Prix.
It is Helmut Marko, advisor at Red Bull, who reportedly shared this information with the Spanish newspaper AS: «We will introduce a significant improvement in China. I can’t say what it is, but it is necessary because not moving in Formula 1 is like taking a step backward.»
Even though the 2010 world champion constructor brand is ahead of its close rivals, it remains at their mercy, and that’s what “gives wings” at Red Bull: Yes, we are currently ahead of the others, but they are progressing rapidly and things could soon be different. That’s what we must avoid.
Helmut Marko also indirectly confirmed the team’s stance regarding preferential treatment of its drivers. Last year, it was Vettel who was struggling during the first two races. I would say that Sebastian’s bad luck at the beginning of 2010 was worse than what Mark is experiencing this season.
In the meantime, let’s meet in China to see what improvements might be made on the RB7.
