Thursday: Virgin accumulates the kilometers
The two Virgin drivers agree that this first day is positive for the team. D'Ambrosio was discovering this track at the wheel of an F1 and gathered a lot of important data that now needs to be analyzed. The same goes for Timo Glock, who is pleased not to have encountered any problems today.
Jérôme D’Ambrosio – 20th and 21st:
«I think it’s quite a positive day. It was my first time in Monaco driving a Formula One car and it went well. We gathered important data thanks to our long stints. It’s going to be weird not getting back in the car and having to wait until Saturday morning.»
«Of course, we still need to look at the data and work to see where we can save time, but for a first day, I’m happy.»
Timo Glock – 21st and 22nd:
Overall, it was a good day. We didn’t have any problems with the car in either the first or second session. We ran at a similar pace compared to the cars in front when we were on soft tires, so I think everything went well. It was a good Thursday.
