Sergio Pérez is good to go
The driver received the green light from the doctors.
Victim of a violent off-track excursion during the qualifying session of the Monaco Grand Prix, Sergio Pérez has received medical clearance to participate in the Canadian event taking place this weekend at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit.
The Mexican driver underwent medical examinations today in Montreal and has no after-effects from his Monaco accident. Pérez will therefore be on track tomorrow for the first free practice sessions of the Canadian Grand Prix.
« I went for medical exams and tests with the FIA and everything is ok. We gave them the doctors’ results and everything is good to race this weekend, » says the Sauber driver.
« After Monaco, I flew to Zurich for a check-up, then I returned to Mexico. I spent a few days at home, which was very positive for me. Then I did some karting on Monday and Tuesday so I was already feeling good, » adds Sergio Pérez.
