F1 2011 the game will not be a mere sequel!

Last year, F1 and video game enthusiasts were finally able to race against each other again on home consoles and PCs with the release of F1 2010 by Codemasters. Following the success of this title, it is hardly surprising that the English publisher will offer F1 2011 starting September 22.

If this new installment will build on the foundations of its predecessor, the development team is not settling for the bare minimum. More than just an update, F1 2011 will be a new game in its own right.

In addition to the traditional improvements related to graphics and gameplay, the team at Codemasters Birmingham has clearly gone all out to satisfy the fans of the discipline.

F1 2010 featured a dynamic rain management system that allowed the track to transition gradually from dry to wet and vice versa. F1 2011 will have dynamic cloud management. Watching the sky will be a good way to predict a shower and make the right decision at the right time. The developers also promise real damage management and the introduction of uncertainty related to the possibility of experiencing mechanical issues before the finish. This will undoubtedly please Jarno Trulli, who complained about the excessive reliability of real F1 cars after the European Grand Prix last weekend.

A true core of F1 2010, the career mode should be even more immersive with the addition of numerous cutscenes enhancing the feeling of being part of a Formula One team. Among these cutscenes, there’s no doubt that the podium ceremony will be included this time. The question system will also be improved with the possibility of getting real feedback on the answers given during interviews via a press book.

Here are the main new features of F1 2011, which will be released on PC, PS3, and X-Box 360 on September 22; but it’s best to let the developers speak for themselves through this first video.
