Horner accepts the FIA’s decision for this Grand Prix
But wants changes for the rest of the season
At the end of an emergency meeting called by Charlie Whiting with representatives from the various teams, Christian Horner stated that he accepted the disadvantage his team would have to face this weekend following the FIA’s decision not to allow Renault-powered teams to blow at 50% as had been stated at the beginning of the weekend.
However, Horner wants clarifications for the upcoming races. « We are trying to find a solution. The current lack of clarity is in no one’s interest, » explains Horner.
« Charlie Whiting made a proposal. Red Bull also made a concession for this weekend. For now, from our point of view, we have a disadvantage compared to the others. But we are trying to find a solution. The easiest way would be to return to the situation we were in two weeks ago. »
