Friday: Red Bull at ease on the Nürburgring
The Red Bull drivers had a calm day and are preparing to face the rain if necessary.
Mark Webber – 2nd and 1st
So far, everything is going well, the car is pretty good here. Fernando and Seb are really fast as well and you never know when McLaren can get going. I didn’t see them much today, but we focused on ourselves and tried to improve the car with each stint, that was the most important thing to do.
It’s great that it stayed dry, it’s a bit easier to manage, but no matter what tomorrow brings, we should be prepared.
I feel at ease so far.
Sebastian Vettel – 3rd and 3rd
It was cold today! It was rather fun because the track was quite slippery with the low temperatures, but we did a lot of laps and the car seemed OK, even though I’m not 100% satisfied yet.
We will see what happens tomorrow, but at this stage we still have a bit of work to do.
Ferrari seems very competitive, McLaren is a little more difficult to judge, but we’ll see. We don’t know the conditions for tomorrow, rain is expected, but it depends on when and if it comes.
