Saturday: Williams aims for points and conducts tests
Pastor Maldonado qualified ahead of his teammate who was using new parts without the KERS. Neither of them managed to break into the top 10 this afternoon.
Pastor Maldonado – 10th and 13th
« It was a difficult session for us. We seemed to be more competitive than yesterday, but not enough to be in Q3. We focused more on race pace, so we’ll see tomorrow. I think we have the opportunity to score points if we have the right strategy. »
Rubens Barrichello – 14th and 14th
We knew we were going to struggle with my car because we were unable to use the KERS here. We didn’t have an ideal balance on the car, particularly compared to this morning, and it wasn’t possible to be better ranked during the session. We need to analyze this in detail and look for a better race pace tomorrow.

« We have improved our performance since yesterday’s trials, but not enough to break into the top 10 today. We ran with different specifications between the cars with Rubens using the new diffuser and front wing without having the KERS, to give us more information to move forward. On Rubens’s car, we chose not to race with the KERS here in order to obtain some data for comparison. Tomorrow, we will have to look at all the data and focus on important decisions for the race. »
