Saturday: Sutil sends Force India into Q3

Adrian Sutil – 8th and 8th

« It’s another solid performance in qualifying for us and it’s great to start my home race in 8th position. My lap in Q3 was good, although a few tenths slower than my lap in Q2, but it wouldn’t have changed my position.

My times in Q2 and Q3 were pretty much perfect and I feel like I got the most out of my car. The balance was good all weekend. I feel confident in the car and I really like this track. So I’m excited about tomorrow’s race and I can’t wait for it. We just have to wait and see what happens with the weather.

Paul di Resta – 12th and 12th

« It was a rather difficult day for me. I couldn’t really get the tires to work when needed and I lacked grip in Q1 and Q2.

I gave up some ground to Adrian compared to yesterday, so perhaps one of the directions we took since yesterday didn’t work. We need to analyze that and hopefully improve tomorrow.

For the race, the uncertain weather means that the race should not be easy. I still hope that we can fight for the points because our pace on long stints seems pretty solid. My settings are also more race-oriented, which should play in our favor, hopefully.
