Challenge David Coulthard on Gran Turismo 5

If you ever dreamed of one day facing a Formula One driver, especially a Grand Prix winner and world vice-champion, David Coulthard and Mercedes offer to make this dream a reality.

Thus, on September 5th, 24 randomly selected people will have the immense privilege of being invited to Mercedes-Benz World where they can experience thrills aboard the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and be ranked to compete against David Coulthard based on their best times achieved on the game Gran Turismo 5.

The 6 fastest virtual drivers will then face the former McLaren-Mercedes driver in a time trial exercise, on a track that will be kept secret until the last moment, even for David Coulthard. His mission will be to complete a series of laps as quickly as possible on the circuit, driving the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, while his challengers will have to do the same, under identical conditions but once again on PlayStation 3.

The event will be broadcast live on www.mercedesliverace.co.uk, and the driver of the fastest lap will be offered an all-expenses-paid trip to attend the closing round of the Formula One World Championship in Brazil on November 25, 26, and 27.

Registration is open until August 22 for license holders aged at least 17 years. So, if you’re interested, put Simone and the kids in the car and head to the United Kingdom, as the event is unfortunately reserved for British residents only…
