Friday: Still a lot of work at Virgin
The two Virgin drivers experienced a difficult first day in the rain, but Jérôme d'Ambrosio will be eager to shine in front of his Belgian fans who came in large numbers to the circuit.
Timo Glock – 17th and 19th
It’s a typical Friday in Spa, and we can say that the weather dictated the day today. We were able to drive in both wet and dry conditions, and the car seemed good. The morning session wasn’t too bad and in the afternoon, we tried to do some stints in dry conditions. The tires are not perfect at the moment, so we still have some work to do.
Jérome d’Ambrosio – 19th and 21st
« It’s great to finally race here, at my home race in front of all my Belgian fans. I’ve waited for this for a long time. Unfortunately, the typical Belgian weather gave us quite a tough day as we would have liked to complete more laps in dry conditions. We need to keep working hard but I feel good in the car – it’s great to be home. »
