Senna answers his fans (I)

Zeynep Yazıcı: What is your opinion on the exclusion of the Turkish Grand Prix from the 2012 calendar?

For me, it’s really a shame, it’s one of the new circuits with a nice layout as well as fast and challenging corners.

Mark Gribben: What will be your main challenges in the upcoming races?

It will be about adapting to the team, but also joining Vitaly and the other drivers in terms of experience and car setup.

Dmitry: What is the most important setting on the car for Monza?

In my view, the car must be very stable during braking and at the exit of the curve, because it seems to me that the tires suffer a lot in these two phases.

Caroline Debatin: When you went off the track during free practice in Spa, after getting out of the car, helmet still on your head, you seemed to be talking to yourself. What were you saying?

I was very angry with myself for wasting such valuable track time. I blamed myself a lot. Fortunately, I ended up recovering quickly and was able to achieve a good performance for the team in qualifying.

Josh: How did you experience your first F1 race since 2010?

It was a wonderful feeling. I was nervous before getting into the car, but as the laps went by, I felt better and better and tried to learn as much as possible with the team.

Nicola Fairhurst: What do you do in your leisure time?

At the moment, I have hardly any free time. But when I don’t have an activity for the team, I try to exercise and maintain my fitness. In the time I have left, including during flights, I sleep to recover.

Eduardo: What was the most challenging aspect of getting back behind the wheel mid-season?

I didn’t know the tires and their behavior. You can only have an idea after driving. So it wasn’t easy to go into the race without having done significant tests on dry conditions or long runs with a full fuel load. But ultimately, I was happy with my race pace and consistency!

Rodrigo: Did you have any tire problems at Spa?

My tires performed very well at Spa, except after the restart at the end of the safety car period. I must have lost pressure and temperature at the rear, and it never came back. As a result, I lost valuable time, and this wouldn’t have happened with a bit more experience.

Eduardo: When do you think you’ll be 100% comfortable in the car?

Difficult to say. But I hope it won’t take too long. I’m really privileged to have a great team behind me providing all the necessary support to accelerate my learning curve.

Matt Fayers: If you continue with the team next year, do you think you can achieve your first victory?

Winning in F1 depends on so many factors coming together. Scoring a victory is a dream, and I hope to have that opportunity and make it happen. It would be absolutely wonderful to do it with LRGP because they are truly giving me my chance in F1 this year.
