Iron Dames: “We are incredibly thrilled” after her pole position in Bahrain
Sarah Bovy secured pole position in the LMGTE-AM category at the 8 Hours of Bahrain. A strategic position to maintain second place in the constructors' championship.
They once again show that they are not just there for show. Since their arrival in the World Endurance Championship, the Iron Dames have been leading the way. And these 8 hours in Bahrain are no exception.
In the desert, the famous pink Porsche secured the pole position in LMGTE-AM. Thanks to an amazing lap by Sarah Bovy. We are incredibly thrilled about Sarah’s pole position in Bahrain. This third pole position of the season is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of the entire Iron Dames team. We are looking forward to seeing Sarah, Rahel, and Michelle start tomorrow and never give up on their ambition. Their pursuit of second place in the FIA World Endurance Championship is not only important for the Iron Dames project but also for the sport, highlights Deborah Mayer, the creator of the Iron Dames project.
Sarah Bovy hopes to take advantage of this prime starting position to win her first victory in the World Endurance Championship. This would be a great ending as it is the last race of this LMGTE-AM category in WEC.
You can be sure that the pink car will fight like a devil to bring back that first victory before the end of the GTE era, certifies the Belgian.
