Difficult qualifications in Bahrain for Peugeot
The French team finished this qualifying session in 10th and 11th places. The drivers of the two cars were not able to put it all together.
It was a complicated 15 minutes. Paul di Resta and Nico Müller got caught out on this track located in the desert. In one of his fast laps, Nico Müller, at the wheel of the number 94, went off track due to a loss of grip. Meanwhile, his teammate in the number 93 had to compensate for a traction deficit.
« It was a challenging session, we were quite aggressive on certain points but the car was difficult to drive. Tomorrow’s race lasts 8 hours, it will be long and demanding for both the car and the team, both physically and mentally. We still have work to do but we’re doing our best. We’ll see what we can do by tomorrow to make progress and capitalize as much as possible during the race, says Paul di Resta.
On the other hand, Nico Müller believes that Peugeot has made progress since the beginning of the week. Despite the difficulties encountered during the qualifying sessions, he hopes to have a good race and climb up in the hierarchy.
