Räikkönen does not hold any shares in the Lotus F1 team
Eric Boullier recently wanted to clarify the situation regarding the ownership of the Lotus F1 team. He specifically stated that Kimi Räikkönen did not own any shares in the team.
Kimi Räikkönen made his big return to F1 a few weeks ago by signing with the Lotus F1 team. There were rumors of a possible collaboration with Williams, but according to several observers, the Finn wanted to be able to acquire shares in the Grove team, which the team did not want, and it ultimately did not happen between the two parties.
But Räikkönen eventually found a team to sign his return to F1: Lotus F1. Considering the independent team’s status, a new rumor had surfaced in the press about a possible stake in the Enstone team. However, Eric Boullier, the director of the Lotus F1 team, wanted to clarify things by denying this information. Kimi Räikkönen does not own any shares in the Lotus F1 team.
He doesn’t hold any shares. It’s complete nonsense. Räikkönen is a driver who signed a contract for two seasons. Genii Capital owns 100% of the team’s shares, Boullier stated in Jerez, as reported by the Finnish channel MTV3.
